Ages

Bird Conservancy of the Rockies offers year round camp experiences for kids ages 4-17. All camps are focused on bringing kids outside to have fun and explore nature while making friends, developing leadership skills, and gaining insights into their relationships with themselves, others and the world around them. Our dynamic combination of day and overnight camps are designed in a progression to introduce young children to the outdoors. Aiming to build their skills over time, while offering opportunities for deeper exploration and understanding of the natural world through the lens of bird conservation.

Day programs and progressive camps are offered for ages 4-12 and operate out of the Bird Conservancy’s Environmental Learning Center in Brighton, Colorado. ‘Taking Flight’ and ‘On the Wing’, our overnight camp programs, are for those 12-17 and take place in Allenspark, Colorado with transportation to and from the Environmental Learning Center provided by Bird Camps staff. Lastly, for those looking to build up their leadership skills, our Leader-in-Training program (ages 13-17) is a great fit with year round opportunities.

Looking for opportunities for the whole family? Be sure to check out our Family & Homeschool programs as well as Community events that run year round. Thanks to generous support from grants and donors, scholarships are available for our camps and programs with Bird Conservancy.
