Kids Comedy Camp at Chaos Bloom Theater

AGES 9-15 years old
9-3pm (Can pick up any time before 3pm)
Monday – Friday (Final performance on Friday at 2pm) $100 registration and $250 remainder due a week before camp starts

Our camp is more than just improv comedy. They are about exploring the creative process with filmmaking, storytelling, improv, writing etc. We give them creative license all within the improv and art framework. Improv skills are more than learning how to be funny. They help with communication, compassion and team building. Our Camp Director Amey Goerlich worked in NYC Public schools for 8 years teaching animation, filmmaking, theater & Improv.

A SAMPLE DAY AT IMPROV COMEDY CAMP
9:00 – 9:30 Campers arrive settle in with drawing, Journaling, stretching
9:30 – 10:00 Improv Warmups
10:00 – 11:00 Group work, improv scenes and training
11:00 – 11:30 Break/Snack Time/Free time
11:30 – 12:00 LUNCH/Free time
12:00 – 12:30 Deeper dive into improv games, group work & improv comedy training
12:30 – 3:00 Specialty work (Filmmaking, Animation, Art, Writing, Movement Etc.)

Amey Goerlichs Bio
Currently she is the Training Center DIrector and Co-Owner of Chaos Bloom Theater in Denver Colorado. The Artistic Director and Founder of Improv Training Hub, She was also The Artistic Director of E-MPROV.COM, Producer & Host of Indie Cage Match at UCB Theatre NYC East Village from 2011-2016. Teacher at Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica California 2016 – 2019. Co-Creator of the Improv Card Game Humans Being that sold on Amazon from 2016 – 2021.

She performed at Westside Comedy Theater in Improv Famous, Women Aren’t Funny and The Faculty Show.

Amey has directed and or coached over 700+ improvisation groups/sketch teams and off broadway productions.
