Swallow Hill Music, Camps

71 E Yale Ave
Denver, CO 80210

Swallow Hill Music returns this summer in Denver with fun and interactive day camps for kids and teens 6-18 years of age during June, July, and August. Each camp provides a full day of activities that can include hands-on experience to play in a band, engage in musical theater, and learn the basics of music and instruments while participating in other general activities. We offer three different themed music camps that are specific for age groups led by professional music instructors and special guests. Session lengths vary. No auditions or previous music experience required. Most camps will have a performance at the end of the session. Campers are encouraged to sign up for more than one session in their theme age group.

At House of Rock: (Ages 13-18)
Campers will get hands-on experience necessary to play in a band with other musicians. In each week-long session, campers learn how to use their gear, play through a sound system, understand and read music charts, find and create a part in the band, song write, and play with other musicians. Camps are open to a variety of instruments. Attendees get numerous opportunities each day to play and practice in duos, trios and in a full band setting. All ensemble and band work is taught and directed by the camp faculty.

Spend a week at Belt It Out!: (Ages 10-13)
Learning music and performance skills — including vocal basics, stage presence, movement, and more. Each summer, a theme is chosen for this camp.

Explore!: (Ages 6-7)
Music Camp will discover the joy of music through their natural curiosity. Using instruments, creative play, movement, dance, songs, group performance, and more, students will gain experience with all of the fundamentals of music.
