Grades

Say bonjour to a world of possibilities at the French American School of Denver! Our charter school is the first and only tuition-free French immersion program, located in the heart of Denver’s City Park neighborhood. The school is currently open to K-5 students, and we’re adding sixth-grade students in 2024-25, eventually growing to support students through eighth grade. Offering a French/English bilingual curriculum, our school is open to French speakers of all abilities. Students in elementary grades are welcome to join us without any experience with the language! (Those entering grade 3 and beyond will need to pass a French proficiency assessment.)

At the French American School of Denver, our curriculum combines the academic traditions of France and the United States to create a stimulating bilingual learning environment focused on student learning and well-being. In our immersive setting, students learn key academic subjects through the second language, not just the language itself. All the while, children are immersed in cultures from across the globe, from arts to music to food and more.
